Can Cricut cut icing sheets? Any ideas or recommended settings?

Can Cricut cut icing sheets? We can't answer for all icing sheets because they vary in quality and may not be able to hold up in a Cricut; but for our Frosting Sheets (also known as icing sheets) the answer to that question is YES! We also linked a couple of video examples below from cool people who regularly use paper2eat products with their Cricut machines.

We've seen many cake artists, decorators and treat-makers harness the power of printing and Cricut to bring forth quite amazing things with our edible paper. Everyone's setting preferences might be different, but we've come across a recurring one that many seem to prefer: Bonded Fabric.

Please keep in mind that we are not experts on Cricut machines and that there are no "correct settings" necessarily when using a Cricut to cut our sheets. We just share what our customers' experiences have been and what has worked for them; it can vary for you. Settings that work wonders for you may not work as smoothly for the next person, and they may have to experiment a bit to find what settings work best for their needs.

In this video, Denise (@denises_delights_) takes us through how she creates several of her signature cake designs by adding custom shaped sheets she cut by putting them through her Cricut.

Here is yet another tutorial of our Frosting Sheets and a Cricut machine being used to create personalized cutouts and elegant final touches for cakes. In this one, Gianna (@gbaby.cakes) takes us through how she goes about adding custom lettering to her cakes.

So in summary, using your Cricut to cut our edible paper into whatever shapes you'd like is more than possible. In fact, not only can you cut out both our regular size 8.5" x 11" Frosting Sheets and our 11.75" x 16.50" Wide Format Frosting Sheets with your Cricut, you can also do so with our Wafer Paper
